Chadar- The Frozen River Trek
The Chadar trek, also called the Frozen River Trek, is one of the most challenging trekking tours in Ladakh. As Zanskar Valley remains cut off from the rest of the world in winter due to heavy snowfall, the Chadar trek is the only way to reach it. The problematic mountain trek on the ice-filled Zanskar River under the winter blue sky takes you through valleys, frozen waterfalls, and mountains.
It is the most strenuous trek of the Himalayas as trekkers will trek through rocky terrains, and the temperature may drop to below -10 degrees, which makes it difficult to survive in this weather. Frozen River trek comes under the category of long treks, which cover a distance of 90 kilometers in about eight days.

Snow Leopard Trek
The Snow Leopard is one of the rare wild cats that is found in Ladakh in the most famous Hemis National Park. The Hemis National Park is situated at an elevation of 4,100 meters and is home to various mammals such as snow leopards, Tibetan wolves, Ladaki urials, Asiatic Ibex, Blue sheep, and some Himalayan rare birds.

Markha Valley Trek
The Markha Valley Trek is one of the most adventurous and popular treks in the world. During the trek, you will pass through Indus Valley, which is sandwiched between snow-capped Stok Kangri in the north and Zanskar range in the south. Markha Valley trek winds onto the Hemis National Park and Rumbak Valley, which allows you to witness rare wildlife such as Snow Leopard, Arghali (excellent Tibetan sheep), Red Fox, Dhole (wild dog), Marmot, and many more.
This adventure-filled trek takes you to breathtaking scenery, small villages, and shrines such as Lhatos and Mani. The trek starts from Zanskar Valley and passes through various remote villages and monasteries of Ladakh. The Padum Darcha trek along the Tsarap River to the Lakong River reaches Zanskar Valley after crossing Shingo La at an elevation of 5100 meters.
The trekking routes from Darcha to Padum pass through arduous ups and downs and reach Chuminakpo-Lakong and Kargyak-Testa, which is home to Phuktal monastery, and then reach Padum via Mune. At the end, you can explore Mune Monastery and Bardan Monastery.
Lamayuru to Chilling Trek
